     In this installation, the facility and internal equipment is protected from externally generated transients.

     It should be noted that if there were external electrical devices (such as roof-mounted air conditioners or streetlights) attached to one of the panels shown here, massive equipment could occur if the external equipment was struck by lightning or other sources of high voltage.

     Note that since all equipment on each of the sub-panels (1 & 2) are interconnected, transients produced by any device will impact all equipment attached to the sub-panel.

IMPORTANT!  IMPROPER SPECIFICATION OR INSTALLATION OF A SUPPRESSION SYSTEM MAY SEVERELY RESTRICT THE CAPABILITIES OF  YOUR SYSTEM AND WILL ADVERSELY AFFECT ALL BENEFICIAL ASPECTS OF YOUR INSTALLATION.

RECOMMENDATION:
We strongly recommend installing protection on any panels within your facility that protect computers, fire, or security systems.
